Caring for abused, abandoned, and other non-releasable wildlife at our
"Wild Teachers® Wildlife Sanctuary"
Wildlife Associates pioneered educational programs where
animals are the teachers 24 years ago as a powerful and
effective way to help students and adults reconnect to the living world.
As a child we begin our exploration of life and are fascinated by our relationships with the non-human world. By bringing live animals into schools, along with our proven ability to teach, we create a compelling educational experience accessible to all learning styles including second language learners. This experience is unmatched by books, video, television, or any other medium.
We help teachers meet the essential California State Science Content Standards. Check out our new educational value package!
Wildlife Associates provides over 1,000 educational programs and wildlife assemblies
each year to both children and adults in Northern California. We reach students in preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and on college campuses.
Adult programs include corporate team building,
personal development workshops
and lectures for professional groups and community
Our newest program, "Wild Teachers for Youth," is a
collaborative effort with some of the most innovative teen intervention programs in Northern California.
We work with at-risk teens at our 120-acre Wildlife Sanctuary where the animals become the therapists.
Wildlife Associates has reached over 7 million students since its inception in 1980, and has grown to become the
largest educational outreach program of its kind in North America.
